Goodbye & Good Luck Kovacic

Now that Mateo Kovacic is officially gone and a miracle didn't take place, I can only express my disappointment at the decision to sell him to raise funds. There were other eligible candidates but they chose Kovacic. Absolute folly! Luis Suarez, the Inter legend not the cannibal Uruguayan, had likened him to Andrea Pirlo and Inter's decision to sell Pirlo. It couldn't be further from the truth in my opinion.

Kovacic will have a better group of players to play with now but not everyone can cope with the pressure of playing for Real Madrid. Some fail badly. Unfortunately for Kovacic, he doesn't have Carlo Ancelotti to coach and manage him. He would have a Fat Spanish Waiter as his manager. I can only wish him the very best of luck in pastures new. At least he will have his compatriot Luka Modric to learn from and play alongside.
